Highest lb's of Boost on Stock Ix... (safely)

hey guys i searched but couldnt come up with anything... :?

so i was wondering i have a Catback,drop in filter and a MBC.. how high can i safely turn up my boost running on 91?

ive heard 21 psi is safe

20-22 is the normal range people choose. depends on how ur gonna tune ur car and how u drive it. less boost more timing for canyon or small track. big boost less timing for large track aka big willow or drag racing. just keep in mind these turbos are not very efficient past a certain amount of boost.

I run 22 on 91 w/ flash tune and I run 27 on 100 w/ another flash tune. I have bolt on mods as well.

10 flat on boost? Yes, you need a tune.

Let me see if I understand that graph. It seems that the boost levels starts out around the 21psi level and falls down to around 11psi. earlyapex, is that with a flash or stock level?

Depends on the car and mods, I tend to taper a little more if I use more boost in the midrange. That's just my style. Holding over 21 psi on the stock turbo is pushing it, espically on 91 octane. The turbo itself won't hold much more than that happily anyway.

I have had the FPGreen hold 24-25 psi @7k with 100 octane on my personal Evo. I believe it could hold even more with a upgraded actuator and more flow mods. If I was a drag racer I would look into it more. ;)
