I just went to TT today and placed the order for a set of Cosworth Cams (which are on backorder) as well as other supporting mods (turbo back, fuel pump, head studs, K&N drop in filter, AMS LICP, and boost controller). I was wondering which cams you guys are running and what you thought of them. I've done a lot of research today and everyone is saying different things about the various types that are on the market. I've heard great things about the Cosworth which is why I ordered them. However, Alfred told me to look into others such as the new Greddy and Tomei that just came out. Any info would be great. Can't wait to get everything installed. Hoping for around 350whp.

Running Cosworth cams-springs-retainers, but since the Tomei and Greddy are new, I doubt anyone will recommend them without results.

^ haha will do, but to be honest the S1's prolly arent gonna be MORE powerful than the old gsc's, the s1's are only 269 intake/266 exhaust with some funky lift betwen the two in order to promote more midrange torque and pull to redline... From what i have heard, the old 272 gsc's were pretty close to the hks 272's which are much more top-end oriented, but by no means bad, i just want all the midrange for the track! O0 I will let you know how they work out once i get em tho, I'll prolly start a thread n everythin' with final dyno numbers n what not...

Got the Greddy Ti C catback today. It's awesome. Except for Fed Ex shipping it to the wrong house and the people did not want to give it back. I contact them and threaten them with the police if they did not hand it over (grand theft). They left it outside and I picked it up. It was a crazy day for me. I will be putting it on Friday. Can't wait to get everything installed by TT!

My question is will your car pass ODB2 port smog test with the cossie cams or with any cams other than stock on a IX. I was getting the impression that on newer cars they're just plugging into the ODB2 port and it gives them a pass/fail from the computer, they're not really using the sniffer. Anyone else heard anything along these lines? If it passes smog then I'd be all about getting some myself.

but with the cams how can the computer tell the difference, if the idle is the same or just as close... can places do that?

good thing i have oregon plates (no smog) hell yes.

I did but here you go. It put down 326whp and 343tq. Alfred said I should have go more hp but the intake might have been holding back. Still working on that.
