I got HKS intake from member from socalevo and I heard that when the intake were used for 5000k oil will gather up in the intake " like mud ". I have to clean it up when i got the intake, is the rumor right or not? or it only happen to members with bad luck. Plus how long should i check to clean it?Â* Â*:-\

The HKS filter is not serviceable (cannot be cleaned). YOu need to buy a replacement (new filter) when it is time to do so. 5,000 kilometers (5000k?) sounds about right for replacing your filter.

The thick coat of oil is a result of engine blowby. If you look at the valve cover, you will see a hose that is routed to the intake tube. That is the source of the oil buildup. You solution would be to get an oil catch can or a breather filter (but oil catch can is cleaner).

this will only happen when u OVER OIL the filter. otherwise it should be fine the same thing with any other oiled filter for example the K&N

^^^The HKS intake doesn't use oil in the filter, does it?

NO, you do not want to cover the hole. Just get an oil catch can.
