Well the car finally went into the hands of the crew at TT yesterday. I have been talking for a few months now with Alfred and Jenn as well as some of the other guys at the shop regarding my upgrades. I'm getting Cosworth Cams, AMS LICP, TT downpipe, TT test pipe, Greddy Ti C catback, Dejon MBC, ARP headstuds, Walbro, K&N drop in, and Alfreds tuning. I can't wait to see the outcome. When I dropped off the car yesterday, Jenn was great as for getting everything moving smoothly. Paul was busy getting all my parts in order and ready for the day. It was great. The car goes on the dyno today so we'll see how it does. I'll update later today for my results and graph. Thanks again to TT for awesome service!

Just got some bad news. There was a mix up and the injectors were not ordered so no tune today. zi forgot and Jenn forgot or something. Anyone know where I can get some quick? Any vendors you recommend. The car wasn't complete yet. The LICP and boost controller were still sitting in the office when I went down there an hour ago. Hopefully everything will be done today so I can at least have a car. I'll just granny it until I get the injectors and tune done. I'll keep you guys updated.

Just wanted to update everyone. I picked up the car yesterday around 5:30. Everything was installed on the car and Paul and Alfred went over everything with me. I talked with Jenn and Alfred and ordered the Precision 780cc injectors. I wanted everything brand new so thanks for the offer G20. The car is not tuned yet so I have to granny drive till sometime next week. No biggie, as Alfred said it was completely safe as long as I stay out of boost. The car sounds way louder and mean! I'm very happy with the results so far. I can't wait till the injectors come in and the car gets tuned. I'll post more updates later next week.

I have the GG 06 IX SE with the Defi gauges center pod and the Blitz turboi timer. I think I saw your car there. Do you have an AMS FMIC? Silver? If so I saw them working on it when I stopped by. Which one did you go with? How many miles were on your old clutch? So how much power do you guys think I'll make? I heard people are getting towards the 350 mark with my upgrades and with the Cossie cams.

Just want to say again that Jenn and Alfred have been great. Hopefully Alfred can get me towards the 350 mark!

Yep, that was my Silver 8 with the AMS FMIC. I managed to get my stocker up to 20k :D

I didnt hear people getting a 9 like yours with those mods getting to the 350 mark. Alfred told me straight up that u are about 350 or right on 350 O0

BTW, nice IX u got there and feel sorry about your windshield cracked already. :-(

Last but not the least, Alfred and the TT crew did a AWESOME job on the Exedy even though I was late.

Thanks for the compliments. Ya, I love the car. I just want to do everything right the first time mods and install shop and I think I have. I actually got the crack on my windshield when I went there to get my EGT tapped. Sucks but oh well. God I can't wait to get it tuned. Hopefully by Friday at the latest. I love the AMS FMIC. That will be the FMIC I get when I get the TT 3076 turbo kit. Going to drive it today. Just cruise around. Happy Memorial Day guys and girls! I was in the School of Infrantry three years ago at this time. Crazy how time flys by.

Ok guys and girls I got the car tuned this morning. They first installed the 780cc injectors. Props to Oscar! Jenn, my buddy Albert and I just chilled in the office smokin and joking. Alfred showed up and the car went on the dyno. Alfred did an awesome job. He was able to get 326whp and 343tq on straight 91oct. He said that the stock air box maybe restricting the power on the top end. Low end power is crazy! Car pulls like a bat out of hell. I'm very pleased with the quality of work that TT has shown me. They are all awesome people and it's been a great project thus far. I'll try to get Jenn or Alfred to post up the dyno sheet. Thanks again to the crew at TT!

When I get a few more parts together I am going back in for a retune. I going to swap out the stock air box for a arc airbox hopefully I get good results from it.

Don't you read anything besides this site? Buschur has shown time and again that the stock air box is good for close to 400 HP. Wise up it's nothing new.

Ya but if u want the most power from ur setup I would go with an open element air filter.. It also seems to hold boost better ,It doesn't taper as much according to my defis.. Even Alfred stated it could have restricted the power in the top end!!

I've been reading that there is possibility that I'm getting low hp numbers due to the gas. I heard that 76 is the best gas so that's what I've been using. I fill up on the cornier of Redlands Blvd and Tippecanoe/Anderson. Does anyone else fill up there? Where are there other 76 gs stations in the area? Thanks for the info.

Just a quick question. When I start the car up in the morning it starts right up. But after I drive it and let it sit while it won't start easy. I have to turn the key back and turn it on again. Not sure if fuel isn't getting into the motor or what? I can hear the fuel pump going so??? Or is this normal? I'm new to the EVO world so any help would be great. Thanks guys.

no thats not normal... and judging by your numbers i would say maybe there is something wrong that affected your car also when it was getting tuned... Cause i had a lot less mods than you on my ix and i got 318whp w/ 323 wtq... thats without cams, licp, injectors, and a high flow cat instead of a test pipe.... if i had all that i'd expect at least 345-350 whp!! ... sounds like maybe its one of your injectors or something, or the fuel pump?

SNEAKYEVO
06-10-2007, 07:09 PM
I thought if there was a problem with the injectors or fuel pump that Alfred would have caught it during tuning. I'm going to go by TT next week and have them look over everything just to be sure.

LOL, 76mm is 2.99 inches and 80 mm is 3.15 inches, so yeah, that's fine.
