SD Convoy to MOD *UPDATED*

I'm trying to arrange plans, so we can meet up with another caravan on the way. I just need to know how many people are willing to go in the caravan. If we get enough people, we can just go to MOD in our group :D.

Probably gonna meet up @ McDonalds off the 78 (Jefferson St.) exit right before the 5 @ 5:30 a.m since we are so far from everyone else. Leave around 6:00 am to go meet up with the 626 - 909 ers. We should be good to go.

Directions:

Route:
15 fwy south
91 fwy west
57 fwy south
22 fwy west
Exit Beach Blvd. and go north two blocks to Super Autobacs.
That should put us there no later than 7:45 am, even if we drive like grandpas and the roads are crawling with cops. From there we roll out at 8:00 am with 626'ers;

The Mickey D's is on Vista way off of Jefferson, just so nobody gets confused.

From the 78 take the Jefferson exit and then turn left on Vista Way, it'll be right there and if you miss it I'll probably make fun of you.

Also, I have a suggestion on the route up to autobacs, maybe to conserve a little gas and save about 40 minutes of driving.

Intstead of taking the 15 NORTH we could just hop on the 5 and take that straight up to the 22 west and then Beach Blvd. If we take the 15 we'll be doing a huge loop PAST Stanton and WAy further east than we need to be.

I'm coming from Chula Vista. How do I get to the McDonalds off the 78 (Jefferson St.) from here?

Just take the 15N and merge onto the 78.

^^^there's two ways. If the 15 is closer, than take that and get on the 78 west, drive all the way down to jefferson and turn left on Vista Way.

If you're closer to the 5, than take that up til the 78 east, and get on Jefferson from there (It's the cery first exit so stay to the right!). The 5 is most likely the faster way though.

I like this idea better. I don't really want to be driving all over SoCal in my DSM. The line will be insane if we get together w/ the other guys. And as of now I have 5 other guys tagging along w/me and it may grow by the time MOD comes around. But i'm down for whatever.

Alright, now that that's settled. We will still meet at the McDonald's off of the 78 (2185 Vista Way, Oceanside, Ca 92054). If we left at the same time, 5:30, that would put us at getting there at about ohhhh.....6:30, 6:45 TOPS! Since MOD starts at 10, groups will start showing up at about 8:30 (reasonable crowds that is), if we left at 6:30 that would put us there at about 7:30 - 7:40. My suggestion is to leave at 6:30 (get a little more sleep that way ;)! It's only about a 1 hour drive to Cypress BTW.

*SIDE NOTE: Make sure to have a few bucks cash on you because we're gonna end up taking the 73N to save some time AND gas (it's a toll road).

I think 6:30 is a little late considering how many are thinking like us. I think the earlier the better in this case so we are sure we get the best parking possible. Plus, there could be some issues that may delay us, so I say its safer to leave earlier than late and be sorry.
