Here's Richard's new lower 2.5" all aluminum intercooler pipe. Lower pipe is mated to a Nisei FMIC. Just awaiting for Scot to return from his India wife hunting trip for tuning.

Ty,

Thank you for the beautiful LICP. I cannot say enough about your attention to detail. It looks fantastic!

Thank you Ty and Thank you RRE. You guys are truly god's gift for EVO owners.

is there a recomended length of straight section after the maf?

i know most flow meters require a section of straight, before & after, but i dont know about the gm maf sensor....

Just one off item for now. I been toying with either making it two piece or one piece. The one I made for ultraflip is one piece and it was a pain to install. The one on Sean and Richard's EVO are 2 piece. Making installation a snap. But if we get more interest with stock turbo, I can make a production run but I gotta figure out how to mate it to the stock turbo since the turbo outlet is flanged and there's a slight angle difference between the 8 and 9 turbo. But what you see on Richard's car run $130 installed.

Looks awesome! I'm waiting for scot too (to tune my stage 1 evoIX), will this help with my setup (stock FMIC)...? newbie Q- is it advisable to get this before the tune or it doesn't matter if i get it after?

130 installed is a great price for a LICP O0

I am digging the LICPiping setup. Looks good. But I have never understood the intake "hiding" in the stock airbox.

Stock airbox = ugly! IMHO

stock box = stealth ... and getting less attention

^I bought a race car with a big azz wing on it. I don't mind the attention.

I guess I'm just an attention whore! LOL. But seriously, I like having a good looking engine bay too.

It's not really about attention, more like when cops ask you to pop your hood your engine bay would look as stock as possible.

What kind of intake is that? I wanted to do a similar setup with my stock airbox but my airfilter extends out too far =/.

sup ty, quick question...

how much better is this than the stock?
I just finished stage 1 from scott's list of mods and waiting for him to tune it this coming tues... i was wondering if I'd come by early for the LICP and then get tuned when scott gets there...

mod list: DT MBC, Walbro fp, TANABE concept G blue (DP, HFC, TBE ), Cosworth 272's...
thanks!

+1 on the 20 whp, i seriously doubt a 130 dollar licp will get you the same as a turbo back on an evo 8

hey mike w(estside....) lol

i just may have to stop by and talk to you about it.. i did some research on a hard pipe kit... and saw that nisei had one... but you have to change the stock battery... i want to keep the stock battery but i think i may have to ask you about what ya'll would charge for a blacked out hard pipe kit...

Yes. It is not a walk in thing. [email protected] or ask for Robert Garcia when you call.

We are also stocking Nisei intercooler piping in black powdercoated steel. That may do the trick for you.
