I was looking into buying an alarm, like ultrastart, and was wondering if anyone has bought any alarms online and had any issues. I know ultrastart wont warranty anything bought online, but the seller gives it a 2 yr warranty. Is it worth saving the money and doing the online thing or just buying it from a store? thanks

Thanks, I've seen the website but you still have to go to a dealer to buy and install. E-bay is selling them pretty cheap, but I was wondering if they're legit? And if the dealer is the way to go, does anyone have any recomendations?

I bought my clifford 3.5 on line and never had a problem. I have had it for 3 years now. I intalled it myself. It is not hard to do, just time consuming.

I paid $200 for it and about $50 for install parts. Install time varries depending on complex you want it, 2-8 hours. Mine took about 8 hours.

i bought a viper791xv alarm off of amazon and got it installed at soundwaves in van nuys, ca. the alarm was 200 and the install was 140. works great! i was skeptical at first also, but i've bought my sound system(not installed yet), alarm, and intake(for my uncles car) online. buy somewhere reputable so that you know you're 100% covered for the just in case situation.
