testpipe, race gas (running rich), shift at high RPM. Will sound like gun-fire, scare children and attract cops. My evo did that at the drag on c16 gas sometimes.

turbo back with a test pipe

yep.... you just need like a TBE... with a test pipe... a regular evo would do it at random times when the exhaust would get hot.. my car is tuned and whenever i drive it hard it does it at random times in between shifts n so on...

antilag system

my money is on a two step...

Props to the guy if he is running antilag...but also "why?" run a true antilag on a street car on the freeway....

ultraflip's evo got antilag.. ask him

holy crap...I had no idea...

totally off subject...but WTH...
I will have to message him on that one...do you know if he pulled it off with the stock ECU? or did he have to go with the aftermarked ECU path...

Test pipe plus a BOV that VTAs. Without recirculating back into the intake, the car will think you are running lean and run richer. Richer = Flames out the back.

Sams (MRevorn) GG evo always spits out fire on Streets of Willow. Its a riot watching people behind him freak out when his flames shoot out.

the stock ecu has the parameters to control antilag

the ukdm evos have the hardware to theoretically utilize antilag

Not very practical for every day use and pretty strenuous on your turbocharger, but it can be done.

I have read up about this about as much as I think possible and what I believe you are refering to is something called the Secondary Air System (or there abouts)
USDM evos do not have this (obviously) but JDM and UKDM come stock with this.

I have heard rumors of UK guys modifying their s to act similarily to ALS, but it just isnt the same.
granted the principle is similar (ignition in the manifold at RPMS above 4K), but I believe it is in the cars for more stringent pollution laws in the UK and Japan.

The UK guys end up taking theirs out...and plug the holes in the stock manifold...

But I would be super curious to see if anyone was able to modify the "SAS" to run like a true ALS...

I thought the secondary air system is something similar to a throttle bypass antilag system that essentially well here read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti_lag

but from my understanding feeds air directly into the exhaust manifold in turn spooling the turbo

It probably feeds air into the manifold AND retards timing AND dumps fuel

Just buy this and call it a day
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/car/sema-2006-autoloc-car-flamethrower-212339.php

you can shoot 20ft flames and burn up cars behind you.. or old ladies as they walk behind your car. hahahaha..

please realize any backfire... flame balls...and such are just going to attract attention and get you pulled over... and I dont think it adds any "cool" factor to your car... you just add more Rice!

Yes it does feed air directly to the manifold,
but there is no timing retardation or anything like that...
I am too lazy to find the exact post but this one will work

Personally I think Antilag is sick...and I was super hopeful that the SAS is anti-lag (I would then get the UK manifold with the piping etc), but unfortunately it is not...:-(

I am uncertain if the SAS does ignite anything in the manifold (backtracking from previous post)...
I have heard that it does and doesnt have ignition in the manifold but have not heard anything definitive or I just dont remember...

I have seen subarus do this too (with no antilag lag or flame kit) I see it mostly when they are down shifting or just letting off the throttle.

I have an o2 housing, 3" downpipe, test pipe, and cat back (basically turbo back) and I dont have flames or backfire but thats a good thing I dont need cops but is that all they have that does that. I have a recirculating BOV though if that makes a difference.

get c16
run rich and u should do it hahah =loss of power
