^Any of the people on THIS site who own Japanese cars. LOL

maikumaru

is there a specific question that needs answering...

Someone comented on "top of Evo" and it looks like it will have aluminum BBS wheels and the like, but it is super difficult to read because of the resolution...

Prices for the SST in Japan is equivelent to 37K US#...5 speed manual is what 35K and the RS is 29K

from what I read, it says nothing about Evo X MR...I would assume the SST would be the equivalent

silvery_eagle

^ there's one that read japanese

here's some:
Car weight in Kilogram: GSR (TC-SST) =1540, GSR (5-speed) = 1520, RS(5-speed)= 1420
Ground clearance in Milimeter: GSR (TC-SST) = 135mm, GSR(5-speed) = 135mm, RS (5-speed) = 140mm
Car Length: 4495mm
Car Width: 1810mm
Car Height: 1480mm
Interior length: 2030mm
Interior Width: 1470mm
Interior Height: 1190mm
Power: 280 / 6500rpm
wheel: GSR model: 245 / 40R 18, RS model: 205 / 60R 16.

Yea, I'm just hoping we would have some information soon. As we all know, US never gets the JDM spec Evos.

The MR you are referring to is the evo 9 in the comparison (all the way to the right on the last page comparison)
The GSR w and without the SST transmission comes stock with 18s
the RS version comes with 16s

There is no mention of the EVO X "MR"

Only RS and GSR models (albeit one with SST)

I am so with you on this one...the atrocity that happened with the 8 when it first arrived is almost unforgiveable...

wow, the biggest news there is the weight figures.

The new RS comes in 100lbs LESS than a 9 GSR! and the new GSR will only be 100lbs more than a 9 GSR.

if true, then a white X RS might be in my future.

actually the weights were in KG...
I dont know the 9 RS weight from the top of my head, but compared to the 9 MR the X RS weighs the same (obviously the 9 RS is lighter)

however the X rs is 100kgs lighter than the x GSR 5mt and 120 kgs lighter than the X GSR SST...

you are looking at 220+lbs of difference between the GSR and the RS

Guys.....the USDM evo will be 100-300 lbs heavier than JDM evos due to steel bumper beams (required for federal safety regs), added emission controls weight, etc...

I think this is fairly common.

In other words I think 200 lbs heavier than the evo IX is probably about right.

I also think that, kg to lbs conversion aside, JDM car weight is defined different than DOT car weight (how much fuel?, spare tire?, passenger? etc..)

ah. I stopped paying attention a while ago when I kept hearing how fat and lame the X was going to be, and got all excited when I saw those JDM specs.

looks like I can go back to not giving a shit now.

maikumaru

really what did you want to know?
the jist of the article is how the evo x is a high tech machine...and how just about everything has been changed. I guess the focus has changed more to grand touring....aerodynamics etc...

has bilstein shocks, mcpherson struts, brembo brakes, advan A13a tires are included

shifting of course is faster with automatic (SST) transmission

the subjects discussed are the engine, twin clutch and the SAWC system...

honestly the graph at the bottom is what is discussed throughout the article

if you have a specific question I would be able to help...honestly I dont feel like translating the entire thing at work hahahahahah
