snowboard rack on aluminum roof?

it says in the owner's handbook not to put a snowboard/ski rack on the aluminum roof. has anyone done it regardless?

well if you find out what type of rack let me know cause i was looking at getting one. unfortunately i have no idea which one will be best much less work. especially if the owners manuel is saying not to put one on the aluminum roof

Most ski racks put the stands on the sides of the roof that is not aluminum. Yakima is one of them.

just get the yakima one, stay away from thule if you have aluminum roof
