Can't we fight somewhere with some decent weather? How the hell anyone lived here without ac is beyond me. Its 110 at night and the other day the high was 130. Now before anyone says, "well at least its a dry heat." go sit in your car with all the windows up and a blow drier in your face and tell me how you like it. That is all. Other than that and the whole insurgents trying to murder me thing its not so bad here. We live on a nice base with all the comforts of home. So its not all bad. Just be thankfull for all you guys have back in the states I know i am.

i have a feeling mine will die soon... i'm hoping living on top of a hill helps with cooler air flow so it doesn't just stop cause it's too hot.

I can see Chris (Beavis) thinking it out: "hmmm, if I can rig my old ac compressor from my Galant, attach that turbo from that blown up truck, make this radiator into an intercooler, I'll rig up an AC that works better than anyones..."

Dayummm that sound miserable. How's the food? Are there any Starbucks or Peets Coffees?

The food is actually really good. We have a good chow hall that serves steak and crab legs once a week. We also have a starbucks and a burger king. The army works hard to provide soldiers a sane place to decompress inside the wire. The only thing thats hard some times is calling home because we are ten hours ahead of california. Nothing like being almost 8,000 miles from home.

I'm glad that it is relatively easy to communicate back home. I can't imagine what it was like for guys who fought back in the day. I can get ahold of my family and friends instantly they had to wait weeks. We are staying busy which is nice, I will be happy to be back home next summer. I'm hoping I can pick up another evo when I get back or maybe a another bmw but a coupe. Take it easy everyone.

I've been thinking about the aprilla 675 or the gsxr 750. It looks like TT is busy as hell. Alfred said your car is running really well. Did u unload ur 1g?

mrcotija

the 1g is just sitting at my parents lot in temecula, ... u should buy the engine off me.. hahah.. if i cant get rid of it, itll become an 0ver-the-years project car, and be completely stripped down and everything..Â* too bad its a gs-t

oh, and the evo is running fine.. winning me money here and there.. but with all the damn torque, i'm afraid the clutch is going to go on me.. the other day i could've sworn i felt it slip @ 6000 rpm in fourth gear, but it hasnt happened again since.. so idk.. it was also on race gas

For your info, Chris, the guy who started this thread, is one of the original owners of TTech, and is one of the best Evo mechanics to be found.

Chris, post up already. Are you doing ok?

I definately look forward to going home. I am at Speicher and we are busy as hell. I work outside the wire so the crazy locals keep us on our toes. We are staying safe though thanks to good equipment and training. I have got some pics I will try to post later today. To the airmen and the devildog, thanks for your service also we really have to work together over here.
