wat the hell happen? some crazy happened during installation

I was removing my down pipe yesterday to put a new O2 housing in. while i'm removing the down pipe my wrench hit some metal piece and freaking spark was flying every where. i got so scare and pull out side and later discovered that a piece of metal was melted. anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? is that normal? >:(

i had to extend it... due to work :/ so im just gonna go back on either a monday or friday to see the judge. but i talked to the lady in the office and she said all i have to do is show the judge my papers from smog ref and he signs it off. i guess judge is only one to sign it off so...
