rx-8 over rated power then what it had

evo *03-04* small turbo, no front LSD, weenie interior if not SSL, hell 03 didnt even have the leather recaros in there SSL, then the MR came out later, then bodys changed, the 03 didnt come with an element filter to clean the outside air coming in, then there was the lack of rear window defrosters, and blah blah blah the list can go on for daze :-D lol

actually that was just the price i slapped on it when i tryed to sell it so i have no clue with it was really worth.

i did open it up to see how it ran its a pretty crazy system and im pretty sure they could have made it more efficient in size and in power but they kinda slapped some technology together w/o really pickin the best. i sold the brain part or main relay/ mother board part to some honda guys for a few hundred and then kept the cold side of the turbonetics snail and i really wanna make it into a flavor flave type of necklace lol unless anyone wants it, and then i threw the rest away


the part that acted as the hotside of the turbo was essensially a folgers can with electrical rotating magnit kinda assembly going oninside of it to spin the intake wheel

really not a bad concept just it was executed badly and the tech didnt fully match the idea yet so w/e

I got 03 the second month they came out here and beat the crap out of it at the track and the street with 300whp for 60k miles and it never left me on the side of the road so anyone claiming the 03s had problems are full of shit. Lets not forget the 03s interior was the same for 3 years until the IX's and the 03s did have rear defrost at least mine did I dont know about the turd you bought. Not having a bigger turbo, front lsd etc. arent first year problems the evos EVOLVE and get better with every year. Now that I've said that I would buy a X but im still not convinced there that much better then what we have now.

not the first year, because the aftermarket will take at least a few months to grow, and it takes time to see how the new motor will respond to mods, and how reliable at what power levels....

if this new 2.0L turbo powerplant is somehow much better than the mivec 4g63t in the IX then yes i'm getting it for the guarantee. if not my IX will have 2.3L + 35r + motons by then so a X would be a waste :D

for that money i'd get me some v8 toy for a nice luxury highway cruiser/missile.

Its only a car. I used to own three Lancer Evolutions and not one of them I treat like its some bitch. I make sure that my evo is a whore and fuck the road of Tarmac, Gravel, and snow! Would I buy a evo X? Hell yeah I would. I remembered when the Evo VIII came out, and I was one of the first to own, and I felt like a superstar because no one had it and a lot of starring, weary eyes were looking @ my way constantly. I still have a 03 with over 75,000 miles over 350hp on stock turbo and 0 problems driven it across the country through the desert and snow. I love it. It almost seemed that after 03 had it all in one package hid sunroof ic spray. I would sell my 06 se before i sell my 03.

well i though in the beginning when the 8 MR and the 9's were coming out that I made a mistake buying the 03 but then i sit down a though about it man everyone that didn't get 03 had to go with a ssl to get hid and a sun roof. those that didn't get hid wanted to trade or upgrade to hid's, and even now to get the sunroof i would have to have gotten leather which im not too cool about (my opinion). but yeah im glad that i didn't trade my 03 for a 9se. I can see that the ones that have bought a 03 can still vouch for a trouble free car. the only trouble i had was driver induced. Its real funny to see the ones talking smack about the 03 evo were the one that just recently bought a evo or only been driving one for 2 years or less. If you really take good care of the car you drive it will take care of you. tell me a 04 or 05 on stock turbo without a stroke engine pushing out close to 350 on a dynojet. there is some but not many. IMO i really do believe that some of the 03 had freak engines.

I believe Mitsubishi is trying to create a new series of Evolution. Evo 1-9 was the first series and they made it successful.
They maybe trying to "restart" the series from the X and to create a new image about the Evo.

In 10-15 years, some of us say "the first true Evo was the Evo X" just like what we are saying to the Evo 1-9.
