The beam is still in tact, and the spacers taken off do not look like a crush zone.

I think this should hold up for insurances when you get rear ended, which is the biggest concern for everyone who has a JDM bumper.

fwiw, you do not need a full fillet weld all around the crash beam mounting plate. You can just do 4 1" fillet welds, and still have more strength than the stock beam.

do i really need to rivet the bumper retainer down??? or would just the four bolts on the bumper be OK?

thanks

no quite sure what your question is...
yes you need to re rivet the plastic bumper to the retainer...unless you want your plastic bumper flapping all over the place...plus the retainer will definetely help the bumper fit perfectly...

with retainer 12 bolts/screws
without 8

if you are referring to the 4 bolts holding the crash beam in...
they are not attached to the bumper at all...

thanks dude i guess theres no shorcuts to this

no problem...I have taken my bumper on and off a few times now so no worries.

for the crash beam mounting plates...they dont need to match exactly...if you are off you can always file the holes to make it fit better...

just let me know if you have any problems...the hardest part is getting the license plate mounted correctly.

it fits flush, the only thing that might be touchin is how you mount your license plate
