It's dumbed down to appeal to the masses. Sales (or lack therof) dictates form and function boys and girls. It's as simple as that.

It's kinda funny though.

A company like Porsche comes out with an SUV to boost sales yet keep there aggressive sport cars which just keep more aggressive.
You've got companies like Lexus & Nissan that continuously come out with new models that are increasingly more aggressive.
Mitsu? Well... maybe they should do what dying companies like Lamborghini do and partner up with someone in order to keep putting out the fun toys.

I hope the EVO X gets a bad ass blue color like the Electric Blue. I loved the Electric Blue because it luminates into a deep purplish, blue color @ night.

Well, I'm definitely anxious for a test drive in the X. Looks awesome, I love the blue it comes in, and from the first drive review, it sounds like its going to be that much more fun in the twisties (stock). What I really want though is a set of Evo X GSR rims! I LOVE those Enkeis!

excellent find! if asked to choose between the two, i'd go with the GSR model for it has the traditional manual transmission

well normally i'd hate this car but considering i had a recent car accident and need something softer to drive, this might do the trick. i just wonder if its "soft" enough for my aching body...

hahah... think of it like this... and i'm saying think of it like this.... lol

bmw has a M3(no matter what year) that is a drivers' driver car.. hard suspen.. ect...
bmw now has 335i... has pick up get u on the highway power ... but softer suspen and more all around car... but with a little kick to it...

the evo x is our 335i before you mod it... it has that kick.. but without all of the drivers' driver feel to it... imo

that isnt quite true... it sounds like they made the steering ratio slower and if that's the case, no amount of mods will fix that. (unless you can find a quicker steering rack to swap in) all the electronic gismo's give it that point and shoot characteristic, which the US didn't have, but the rest of the world did, which were stripped from the car by many race teams. so, in theory one can save some weight while making this EVO perform more like the EVO's of yore... but S-AWD is new so it may not be possible anymore.
