I know this is completely off topic, but one of the board members by the aka of "fusionchicken" keeps telling me I should get an NSX as a daily driver because apparently it's the same as my mr2 turbo... :idiot2:

1:21:21 AM philahn2387: i'll need a car that somewhat qualifies as a daily
1:21:34 AM fusionchickenleg: lookit wat u drive daily right now
1:21:35 AM fusionchickenleg: lawl
1:21:41 AM fusionchickenleg: no
1:21:42 AM philahn2387: nsx just crosses the line.
1:21:43 AM fusionchickenleg: f**k the avalon
1:21:45 AM fusionchickenleg: why?
1:21:51 AM fusionchickenleg: it's the exact same shit as mr2
1:21:53 AM philahn2387: no.

Keeps going...

Just wondering. Would NSX realistically be a daily driver for a 20 year old?

He also mentioned that Evo's suck balls and Subaru owns all. ;) jk

Reliability and ease of driving wise it makes a fine daily driver. The 2 seater and small trunk did get annoying sometimes, but since you have an mr2 already that shouldnt be a problem. One thing that bugged me is I always worried about it whenever I had to park it. Major things dont break very often on it, but when they do it costs $$. Also dont plan on getting a nice one for less than $30k.

booo...honduh ftl.

lol. if you can afford it, drive it. thats whay i say. who cares if your NSX is a high mileage DD...at least you are enjoying it every day, while some people feel its only a 'weekend car.'

Only cars i would ever keep garaged 99.9% of the year, are cars that increase in value. (which are far and few between)

And that's pretty much the bottom line. All 4 of my cars are over 30 grand (new) and without them... what the hell would be my DD? You think I would run out and get a 4 thousand dollar Honda just because I can say it's my DD??

I understand that people are in different positions financially and it may make more sense to get a cheaper car as a DD, but for others of us this doesn't hold true.

And you know, if I had a car that actually "increased" in value I would probably only garage it 99.2% of the time. ;)

auto nsx ftl

someone is out of the "know" here then...all thje major japanese tuners for the nsx market reccommend that you buy a used auto nsx and rebuild the tranny/engine from there as the guys who drove the autos around didnt push them as hard so the engine will be in better condition...you end up saving money overall because you have the tranny out of the car if you're going to do a clutch or final drive gear change.
