evo green

My 2.3 stroker had never seen more than 15psi and had never been revd past 7k til it was on the dyno. I was very nervous, I couldn't watch. Alfred was the first person to get on it and I had no idea how the motor would respond.

I really appreciate the service I was given from Alfred, Jen, and the TT crew. This is a shop that I can trust with my car and am very confident in there abilities to "do it right". The car runs very strong and smooth. I am really happy. I had a million questions and Alfred answered them all.

To be honest I was disappointed in my numbers not Alfred's fault nor the car, maybe the setup I have or
the heat (105f).

This was my first tuning experience and over time have realized that my car was not tuned for max hp but to be very conservative and reliable. Alfred understood how much time and money I put into the car (a lot of money for me anyways) and I could not afford for anything to break at this point.

I dont know how to say it but I guess I was hyped or had high expectations for what type of numbers I would make. I posted a thread on another forum to and gave my tune to a few people to look at. I wanted to know if there was any issues if any. What I should have done was called Alfred. I didn't. I apologize Alfred.

I know this post is choppy, I really don't know where to start and end.

I would like to come back for a retune after purchasing an air intake, and upgrading the TB and intake manifold.

man thats hot as heck. everytime i go to tuning tech i melt. haha so for the heat... not bad numbers man. alsop remember you are only at 15psi.... most people tune about 6psi more than you did on yours. so for takin it easy on the motor, be proud!

who built that motor? And heat shouldn't matter... good motors should run all day in 100 degree+ weather... you should be able to beat on a good motor all day without anything breaking. And those numbers can be had on an 8 with bolt ons...whats going on there?

Get a real turbo and a fuel pump and injectors and u will c better results than what u have right there.

i have injectors, fmic, ect.

The car was tuned for 21psi. The purpose was to thanks alfred and TT not bash the numbers.

RRE built the motor and it runs awsome. No worries there

353whp at only 15psi sounds decent.

No bro... u got it all wrong. I was not trying to bash any body. I was simply replying to someone else's post that he made about the numbers being low. I'm sure it runs awsome and is quik on spool up.

I would love for you to show me any 8 with any amt of "bolt-ons" @ 15psi making anywhere near these numbers. And heat makes a huge difference in performance numbers. When my car was tuned, the temps went from 95-100 for intake temps and I lost 12whp and 10wtq. That's a big difference. So whenever you find that dyno sheet of an 8 with this much power on 15 psi, post it up!!

BTW - In that heat, those are some very impressive numbers. I bet this thing breaks 380-390 with 22-23 psi on pump gas.

you guy have it all wrong it was tuned for 21 psi. The guage reads 21psi I dont know accrately the defi reads.

the car made 352awhp and 358tq WITH 21PSI.

I was more or less going off the others saying 15 psi. Even at 21 psi, the numbers are still good. The most I've seen on any 8 with bolt ons is 348whp and 335wtq...with 100 octane and 26 psi. Not sure where you can get an 8 at 21 psi making anywhere near this kind of power. That was my point to the previous write up bashing the numbers.

torque seems a bit low at 7k for an aftermarket turbo .

You have a problem with boost taper?

You still have a cat?

JMB8606

no cat. this turbo is just a little bigger than a stocker

that evo green will shine more in the 25-26psi range. on 91 with a little added to it like some 100oct just to be safe on the street. can you get 93oct around your parts??

JMB8606

no i cannot get 93oct but i can get e85 im in san diego

Hey JMB. Don't worry about the numbers...the heat sucks a lot out of em. I only made 380 whp at 19 psi(with my 2.4 and 3076r)
on Alfreds dyno in 108 degree weather. Could have turned the boost up more, but my injectors would not cooperate. Anyways, I should be well over 400whp, but it just wasnt the case in the heat. Wait until it is cooler, and dump some race gas in for a tune.

take care,
John

number are ok but someone said they never saw a VIII close to this i am at 316whp. And i am still on stock cat, injectors, ictercooler and pipeing. And i am at 21psi on 91oct. But good numbers just get some meth man and turn up the boost
