View Full Version : MR OWNERS, DID YOU TAKE OFF YOUR FRONT AIR DAM EXTENSION?

For MR owners who still have their OE front bumpers, have you taken off your front air dam extension because of scraping? if you took it off any change in "downforce"?

Ha ha no of course not its like the Corvette one the MR is a puny little plastic and you wont be able to feel any difference in downforce at least i didn't

Yup it started to fall off with time because I'm too low so i went under the car and saw how puny it was and just yanked right off

im about to take mine off. the stupid thing just sits there and i scrapped it a bit here and there taking some corners FAST AND FURIOUS!! :uglystupid2:

I just learned that MR owners are just EXTRA GAY!!!! .... more so then the GSR/RS Evo owners... are you serious? Yes the cars downforce is going to be affected so much because you took that little strip of plastic off!!! The car is going to lift the front tires off the ground!

OMFG I took it off and I was like driving on the freeway and like I caught air and like I was flying and stuff and like SHIT I think I just created a freaking airplane!!! and I'm scared of flying......

anyway going back to the subj, yeah the thing is gay so I'm gonna take it off when I put my new lip on it. it is basically pointless.

The reason why im asking about the air dam extention issue is i know there will have a tendency to rip the tray at the bottom in the long run.

I took mine off because of the splash guard having to remove it was getting so long and boring that I took it all off and kept it off.

I took mine off at 95mph when the right side ripped off and fell under the right front tire!Â* It also took off the right side of my undertray and broke the right side of my bumper cover as well.Â* I think it's a useless marketing gimmick.Â* What good is a so called "Aero" device that falls off randomly at speed?Â* Â*I'm not an engineer, but rumor has it that a 1" strip of rubber danglin' 4" from the ground doesn't do "dog squeeze."

That thing was useless imo.. You can't feel a difference when taken off. I took it off due to the fact that it scared me everytime I heard a scraping sound, thought I was scraping my lip.
