That's what happened last time. Â*
My condo is just south of the 56 (in the non-evac zone).
2 of my friends have had to evacuate out of PQ and one is evac'ing a second time from Scripps.

I read one report it's likely that the fire will burn until it hits the ocean.
Sounds like people will have to evac to TJ if things keep going the way they are.
(don't drink the water)

Good luck everyone. Â*Be safe!

Could you imagine what would happen if 250,000 people defaulted on their mortgages?
Obviously not everyone in that figure is a home owner, but if insurance companies cannot tolerate this kind of load, the government will not bail them out entirely and the affects will cascade downward....

Scary times.

I did a little trip on the 76 yesterday around 3pm, the fires were worse yesterday then they were today. I drove from the 15 to the 76, and then I headed out east bond once on the 76.

After receiving this from a Sheriff (took me 5 mins of talking with the cop at the road block), i decided to call my work and let them know bit late and check out the area.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/VCPass.jpg

Here is the map of my little journey, i started from the 15 and worked my self inland. All the red lines are roadblocks. Notice my whole route is in blue, stating that the street was shut down.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/MAP.jpg

On the way there it was pretty creepy, after I passed my work (Pala) there was the third road block. The guy there just checked my ID and my pass and let me go through. Beyond that point the smoke got worse viability was horrible.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/SmokeySun1.jpg

I kept on driving only to feel kind of eerie. There were no cars for most of the stretch, i did run into some cars but they were either cop cars or fire dept cars.

The smoke kept of getting worse around the pauma valley area.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/Smokey1.jpg

I finally got to my destination, the base of Palomar mountain. Directly behind that building is the road block to go up the mountain (last red line).

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/PalomarSign.jpg

Palomar Mtn is straight ahead some where in that smoke. As you can notice its clear where I was standing. All the fires were either north of me or north east from me. Making for decently clear skies since the winds were in those directions.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/PalomarMtn.jpg

So it was time for me to head back, since i had to work and i was already starting to get a slight headache from all the smoke. This was the final roadblock, the third line. Not even with my Sheriff's pass could i get through, but to be honest i didn't want to get through either.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/RoadBlock.jpg

Heres a pic of Pauma valley a ghost town completely smoked out.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/PaumaValley.jpg

Another pic of the smokey sun.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/SmokeySun2.jpg

The farther i got from Pauma the clearer it got.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/Smokey2.jpg

My work is on the bottom right hand corner, not even 2 miles away. You can see it slightly.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/SmokeyPala.jpg

Night shot from my work towards the fire, you can see the moon and the specs below are the fires. If you notice on the bottom most right fire, it is creeping up the back side of a mountain like a sun rise.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/Nero760/FireMountain.jpg

Some of the pics have a slight "blotch" up the center, i noticed the camera was drity after i got home taking the pictures.

When the fire was coming, the SDFD called me and I pointed my exhaust at the flames and floored it in neutral. The flames went the other direction.
