All you need is the HID bulb kit . . . Srt Motorsports sells them for about $400 installed . . .

I have my 06 IX GSR . . .and they didn't come with HIDs . .. I put them on.

Also to install them . . you have to remove the bumper in order to pop the headlight out

But yeah, you should get some man . .. it looks sick.

SE isn't that cheap . . . wtf? . . .

I'll probably save more money putting the SE stuff on my car . . . .haha you got ripped off.

You need 2 ballasts, 2 HID bulbs and the harnesses. There are plenty of kits on eBay, but remember...you get what you pay for. Stock bulb is D2S, if I'm not mistaken.

To install, you need to remove your front bumper to get at your headlights...

higher K = less resolution

Yes . . .stock is 4300k . . .everyone knows that . . .

And yes . . . higher K . . . lower visibility . . . .don't go past 6000k . . . .

as a matter of fact,6000k is fine! . . . that's what I gots. . . .. it's nice.

since everyone is verifying stock temp...stock HID temp is 4300k :D

8000k on evo vs a 12000k on non-projector housings (06 civic SI)...on a evo they shouldnt be that blue i believe

weird thing is that 12000k looks "brighter" than my 8000k because 12000k makes everything purple, while my 8000k are blue/white...and the blueness blends with the asphalt and stuff.

I prefer the blue look, so 8K FTW! My friend installed 12K bulbs on his STi and he got rolled next day by the popo, lolz.

Cars usually use 4300K bulbs because that's the closest you can get to sunlight. The higher the kelvin temperature the lower the visibility because the bulbs start producing color that your eyes cannot pick up.
