We were discussing this yesterday over dinner...now that his car is totaled, what do you guys think Tom should do for the next project car? Should he go out and get something now, wait a while and save up, go balls out and get a used super car (mods would be expensive), or do you think he will be forced into getting something he doesn't really want? Let the people speak!

Wait till the Evo X comes out and scoop up a cherry IX.Â* Suckers are going to be trading in their VIII's and IX's just so they can say they have a new X.Â* Perfectly good cars, higher HP potential, and a some of these will be bone stock.Â* Dealerships don't want used cars sitting around and DSM'ers are licking their chops.Â* It's going to be stupid, watch.
Barrow a Galant or Corrado someone might have laying around in the mean time.Â* Throw on a basic mod and do some maintenence in appreatiation, find the Evo you want, and scoop it up.

Sorry to hear about the accident, Tom. Speaking from experience, tho, you're better off if it was totaled. It's never the same no matter how good the body shop. Specially if you want to sell it or trade it in.

My insurance agent called the shop thats working on my car today. They are gonna fix it, total bill is gonna be about 8k. Mostly cosmetic stuff such as tailights, bumper, trunk etc... Looks like I'm keeping it!

New update:

Everything except for the head and tailights has been ordered. (Well, pretty much everything damaged by the accident). Eta is about 3 months on most goods, but I got my hood already. I should pick up the car on thursday from the body shop, but she will be naked and devoid of panels, and she won't run either.

Here's a teaser.... but mine will actually be more concaved because I will be running a +15 offset.

Lol, I gotta jew em outta a new turbo, because it really is just the outer housing that is "scratched". I could probably clean it off and you wouldn't notice, but I'm gonna try to make state farm pay for a new one.

After that, you'll be the first guy I call larry! We can work out a deal with some custom tunes....
