New search function

A lot of people over the last couple years have expressed their frustration with our forum search engine. I agree whole-heartedly that the search sucks.

I have some good news. We just added Google search to the front page of the site. So far it's significantly better that the built in forum search. Searching for "RRE" will actually pull up correct results, not like built in search where it pulls up anything on the site that has "rre" in the word. Very frustrating.

Anyhow, we've been testing this for about a month and are getting positive feedback so i'll be adding it to the top of the forum too.

Just wanted to let you guys know there's a better search function now!

Where's the access to this new google search function? I just tried out the search button and the search feature at the top of the page and got the same worthless search function that's always been around... ?

The search box is on the front page of the site right now.

It's going to take some work for me to add it on the top of the forum. Hopefully I can get to that soon.
