You can buy different bulbs like Sylvania's or something.

From my experience with after market bulbs is that they suck ass, I used to swap them out about every 3 to 4 months on my RSX and one night both my headlights went out on me one on the freeway(scary sh*t). My suggestion would be to go with some HIDs because there is to much dam work involve with removingÂ* the front bumper to swap out bulbs often.

just goto ebay and buy the HIDs for 100.00. i picked up the 6000k and love it. he also has 8000k and 12000k and pics so you can see the differance. all plug n play. check out the difference. the driver side has the 6000k HID and the passenger side has the Cool Blue from Auto Zone

No way to make the stocks brighter, if you buy after market bulbs, it will melt your light harness since they pull more power then stock.

HID are the way to go. You can get 35 watt kits for less then $150. I have 50 watt 6k HID's and it cost me $250. I love them. Only problem is I get flashed all the time because they are bright.

^ Don't be misleading.. They aren't going to melt your harness unless they are a SIGNIFICANTLY higher wattage.

Besides, most aftermark bulbs are the same wattage as stock bulbs. I.E., most anything you will buy in a store.

I installed Silverstars... and it made a little difference but, no comparison to HID's. My friend installed an HID kit on his... and trust me.. it a better buy. Spend $40-$50 on upgraded bulbs or $100-150 on a HID kit.

if your going to buy a HID kit, then make sure you buy a good quality kit. Most bulbs are all the same, but its the ballast that makes the color consistent and in working condition. I have an IX SE, so mine came with HID, but I did upgrade just my bulbs to get a more blueish/purple/white hue, 8000k bulbs, which look in between a 6000k and 8000k. The bulbs cost $60.00 and they are definetly brighter than the stock bulbs. Cheap for a clean look. Dont waste your time or money on halogen replacement bulbs, save up and get HID. O0

^ May I ask where you got bulbs for $60? That's killer for HID bulbs.

amak, are the 8k's at the point where they are really purple and starting to be less bright than lower kelvin?

I want to get whiter than stock, but still want super bright bulbs. Think 6k would be a noticeable difference?

8K is pretty blue. Skiracer has some photos up of them and its just blue. The higher the K the lower the lumen outputs so 6K is less bright as the 4300. 6K you can definately tell a differences versus the 4300. I have 6K on my other vehicle and love them as well as 6K in my evo. Good color, I get the best of white + blue, light blue, heh.

I think I'll go with the 6k!

So you can definitely tell over stock Evo HID's? Do they have that badass look when looking towards them from a distance?

I personaly prefer the stock hids over any HIDs. I love how bright they are. 6K are bright, but nto as bright.

well, honestly my 8k seem brighter than my stockers. They arent so much purple at all. They emit a almost white/blue/some slight bright purple light. They look bluish when you look at them. I would say go with the 6k if you want the brightest possible. But the 8k look very good as well. they work out great for me. i think the 6k will look more pure white/ with some hint of blue. Those would be super bright. ;)

Could you snap some pics of yours? I know it's hard to capture with a camera.

It's only $60 right? I may as well order some and try it.

Everyone I know that has gotten pulled over has had 8k or higher bulbs. 6k has some blue. 5k is pure white. When I buy bulbs again it will be 5k.

I have had over 3 different HID kits on different cars, and even bike conversion kits, All companies have different colors for their kelvin ratings. I would say the 8k kit looks more like 6k if you ask me. I have even got a 14k kit that looks like my 8k now. I have never gotten pulled over for them, but i did once in my truck. Mainly because they were on a normal halogen housing, not a projector housing. . And yes, they look really badass like landrovers do when they are coming towards you on the freeway. haha. Just go with 6k if your even worried about it.
