Maybe to the same software as EvoM? Things like an effective search feature and sales ratings would be great...

i don't use evoM just because of how their site is set up.

I like this one way better! don't change it....

I agree with needing some new functionality. One thing I like is the scroll over option on the thread posts. You can scroll over the topic on the main page and it shows you the text of the initial post. You can do this in any area of the site and it is convenient when the topic itself seems obscure

Well this site uses joomla/mambo as the CMS and SMF as the forum...so i dont know how they could update it with out changing either of those. Switching to a new forum would in turn loose all the threads they currently have.

Basically they would have to start over. So i think.

We've been testing some new features, we definitely feel the need to upgrade and have new features.

Some of the features we'd like to implement are Live Search, Live thread scrollover, Flash media capabilities, garage, etc.

We won't upgrade till we can work out all the kinks in implementing those.

does that mean we are going to get a good search feature?

We're also looking at search... if you try the web based search from the frontpage it works differently.

I've always liked vBulletin the best out of all the message board software out there.

Vbulletin while commercially supported is actually slow when you get a lot of users. It has gotten better over the years.

Joomla FTW, lol... There are plenty of CMS and Forum scripts out there, just takes time to find a good one... or make a custom one. :-\
