crutchfield would be a good start. really depends on your price range and what kind of amp you gonna run

^^^ Focals are one of the best IMO... BUT you pay the price to buy focals hahaha. JL has a nice multichannel amp to power those speakers. Its gonna sound crisper than a fresh bag of potato chips. :D

Yeah, I agree with the JL Amp, JL amps are pretty crisp. If you don't want to go all out on a JL amp, rockford amps I think come right after JL, still super crisp. If you need any hookups on stereo shit, let me know, I know a guy, ha.

i cant afford focals so im thinkin about infinity kappas, with a good amp. A great speaker with a shit amp is only as good as a good speaker with a good amp. Also alpine amps are not that bad either...

I use Dynaudio, love them.... High end Focals are pretty damned awesome as well....

as for amps... I use the old Xtants... but the ARCs I've heard are also pretty sweet....

I always get my gear from this dude at the Anaheim indoor swap meet. Crutchfield is way over priced, I only use it as a reference. Let me know if you want to go see the dude at Anaheim, just give him your budget and he'll give you the best bang for your buck.

Yeah Crutchfield is a major rip off, but most people say that they buy from there because they have great technical support and will walk you through absolutely everything. I guess it's great for first time buyers but if you know what you are doing, just give me all the components that I need and I know what to do.

For components I'd go MB Quart or Kappa. It just depends what you have a budget for. I got the hookup on infinity home speaker systems... I wish I had the same hookup on car audio systems.

Oh and in case you were wondering Best Buy is not a car audio shop! Don't go there! LOL

dude what are you talking about? best buy is one of the most custom fab shops ever. They will throw any sub into a pre-fabbed box, wire it to 4ohms-8ohms and send you on your way within 30 minutes, WHAT OTHER SHOP CAN DO THAT?!

haha. I hate BB, smells like dirty feet in there anyways. They don't sell anything larger than 4gauge and they think a capacitor will fix anything! Anywho, GL with your search.

^lol... yea it's like McDonald's. It's quick and easy, but when you think about it, it's really shit.

As a heads up from someone who knows caraudio and specifically the sq end of it focals are nice, dynaudio, rainbow, dls etc. BUT what I recommend to you is a set of Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5s. They're 100 bux shipped and they're the forum boner on caraudio.com right now. All the reviews on em have been great and they throw some sick mid-bass. You can pick up like a kicker zx200.4 for about $115 shipped too :) give em about 100 rms each and they'll wang

I have hi end focals in my car, driven by an alpine amp. They're crisp, but too sharp and crisp to my liking. I ended up turning down the treble. I might switch them out for silk dome tweeter speakers.

I have MB quarts in my Es300..... those hoe's will make your earls bleed! Especially with my DSP :D

I personally run MB Quart Components paid about 500 a set and running it with a Alpine amp.

If you want something cheaper go listen to Pioneer Premier they have some great speakers for the price.
