i need to borrow an impact wrench asap. i'm located in Chula Vista, but i'll be at SDSU in the morning. i'm installing my springs and the shock bolts are impossible to break loose! i managed to install the rear left spring, but the rear right side seems impossible! does anybody have one i can borrow for a day? does autozone rent out impact wrenches? please lemme know!

i used the breaker bar for the rear shock bolt on the left side of the car. the right side is a PITA though. the bolt spins, but the nut on the other side spins along with it. i tried using my foot to keep a ratchet on the nut and then tried using the breaker bar at the same time, but it didnt work. i'm located in Chula Vista, but i'll be at SDSU in the morning.

Ron, I have a few homies with air tools at there house. I haven't spoke to them in awhile so it might be awkward but if need be I'll call them. I don't know about autozone. Just call them up and ask instead of making a trip there.

the toque specs for the rear coil spring nut is 19ftlbs +or- 3ft lbs

and the nut on the mount should be 33ft lbs +or-3ft lbs

well i bought a 250 ft lbs impact wrench, but it wasn't strong enough! unless there was an air leak or something. i ended up using more pb blaster and a torch and it worked! i still had to use the breaker bar AND my hands and feet. haha probably hard to picture it. i now successfully installed the springs!
