Anyone heard of this brand Scytek alarm? A local shop is offering 250 installed with remote start? What do you guys thick of this?

I might search for some car security related forums/websites. Check if your insurance can give you a list of companies that qualify for the alarm discount.
Their Skytrack system seems interesting if a little 1984 like.

Scytek actually makes some decent stuff. I'll admit it's not Viper quality, but if you're looking for a budget alarm with good features, Scytek isn't a bad idea. Reason I can say this is because I work for a stereo shop/website in downtown LA, and I've seen a lot of these alarms get installed, lol.

AutoPage FTW. I almost went for the Scytek, but went with AutoPage. Both are probably made by the same company.

I had a hell of a time deciding before going with the AutoPage C3-RS727A-LCD for $127+tax and installed it myself. If you want to get crazy you can add a cell phone tracking unit to it.
