I have evoscan 2.2, I log it and everything works except the whp and tq. Â*What am i missing?

you are missing 2-byte load and, iirc, 2-byte RPM.

you need to edit your .xml data in the ECUflash to allow you to change the MUT requests.

(souds like a bunch of jargon but its not too bad)

here is a thread explaining everything

http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=327185

basically you edit the .xml so that the tables for these requests can be seen, then you edit with hex address the ECU sees for the values and itll be able to log 2-byte load and airflow.

you have to change teh addresses because the car isnt set-up to log 2-byte info in stock form.

I havent recieved my 2.2 yet???
Very informative thread! I Read the entire thread last night and got a grip on it, except for the question I PM'd u Mike...
also my est. g/rev, whp, est. tq is still reading "0" (2.1) and I have changed the formulas!
Had to change my IDC back because Im not actually using 2byte rpm / airflow. I have thenm in the correct order (as far as what each parameter refers to)as far as I know. Still need to edit the MUT table per mrfred instructions for the 2byte rpm/airflow and then I will go back and change IDC.

^you might have to define the values in Evoscan through the program itself. I was having problems getting my changes to the data.xml to work. Its almost like vista saves a version of the .xml that is different from the actual version.

Not to be a smartass but I was unsure which answer to choose

Question: Evoscan doesn't log whp?
Evoscan doesn't log whp - 0 (0%)
Evoscan doesn't log whp - 2 (100%)

Total Votes: 2

PS It doesn't log WHP for me either right now...

Good Luck

Grats man...

so what was it that needed to get done to make it work?

I changed the formula for "IDC" back to [InjPulseWidth]*[RPM]/1200 from the formula referencing
2byterpm [InjPulseWidth]*[RPMMUT2Byte]/1200 and rearranged my list in evoscan. (evoscan 2.1) I dont understand why exactly its now working... As far as I know, as long as u have what ever is being referrenced in a formula, above it, it should read! Example. Torque is referrencing WHP, so WHP would need to be above it on the list. etc.
My List goes like this: This is all that I log
tps
rpm
wgdc
boost
2byteload
timing
knock
02
speed
coolant temp
air temp
ipw
idc
2byteairflow
loaderror
wgdc correction
2byterpm
g/rev
est.lbs
whp
torque

try this! Let me know if that works for u... GL

Can you list out what changes you had to make?Â* I am trying to get evoscan 2.2 to work as well for this and it looks like the graphs are a bit off (showing 145hp at 4k under wot)...

Thanks

I change the equation like silvrEVOIXn818 posted. Don't get 2.2, it can't log wideband. The 2.1 or wait for the 2.3.

I'll try the equation change (along with making sure RPM2byte is 1000*x/256)

I mean, right now logging showing me I have around 5k of torque is cool, but I think it *might* be a bit off ;-)

I dont think 2.2 would be worth DLing from what I have read they didnt even announce its release due to some bugs... They are working on correcting all of this in 2.3! If I were you guys, try 2.1 or earlier... or wait for 2.3!
I am currently running 2.1 w/ "Vista" and no probs. as of yet...

I believe I do... on my laptop @ home. I'll try and post it up later. If you have purchased a valid copy from limitless, you can send him an email and Im sure he will send it to ya! I hadnt recieved my 2.1 so I emailed him and he promptly sent me the new one!

I just found this looking for the link...
Go download 2.2 the way you normally do from www.limitless.co.nz. Instead of clicking the actual download link just "copy link location" or "copy shortcut" (depends on your browser). Paste it into your navigation bar and replace 2.2 with 2.1. Just did that myself, works great. Was able to download 2.0 this way when 2.1 was giving me issues. Hope this helps, let me know if not. brb

Ok after a lil searching myself, I found nuttin. try this above and I will still try and post it up later.
