^yea, except my employer is a douche, wont offer tuition reimbursement, and wont let me go to school. He almost fired me because he thinks i spend too much time at school. Technically im not even employed by him. Im an 'independend contractor' working under his payroll company. That way he has no ties to me other than i show up for work everyday.

I dont care if i have to pay back loans. Im devoting myself to school this time. Ill get my B.A. the second time round. :D

i'll make the same argument to that statement...

who is most likely to get a job? the engineer with a degree from harvard or the engineer with the degree for CalStatesomething?

c'mon...i hope you get my point. i'd like to believe the reasoning you give of school doesnt matter, it's what you do with it...but what about people who go to different schools that want to do the same thing? what if they happen to have the same qualifications and experience and the only difference is where the degree came from...it's not the same education especially if you try to break down and justify cost...these big name schools cost more for a reason. some of the reasons are rather outlandish but for the most part, just simply compare CSU's to UC's. ALL UC's are active researching schools. so if i were to go to UCI for example to be a doctor, my department is at the forefront of medical research and i learn theories as they develop and am in contact with active members in the field. whereas at CSU's the program is geared toward "following the lead" of other's research. the Professors there are washed up and teach from books written by other people...you go to Harvard or of the like and learn from the professor that wrote your textbook.

the whole argument of "it doesnt matter what school you go to but that you've earned a degree; it's all the same" is just an excuse we (im a CalState student) make when we are looked down upon when compared with someone from a well known school.
