So the Ralliart will have ACD and the SST... incredible for the price they are targeting. Can't wait.

From Mitsu press release:

Mechanical
Lancer Ralliart is powered by the new 4B11 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC intercooled and turbocharged engine (also used in the Lancer Evolution) that develops an estimated 235 horsepower. The engine is mated to Mitsubishi's efficient Twin Clutch-SST gearbox that helps enhance the sporty nature of the vehicle by allowing the driver to execute lightning-quick, silky-smooth, paddle-actuated shifts. The TC-SST transmission also operates in fully automatic modes for Normal and Sport driving conditions.
The Lancer Ralliart's full-time 4WD driveline features Mitsubishi's Active Center Differential (ACD). The ACD unit employs an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch center differential, vectoring drive torque to the front and rear according to different driving conditions to realize the best balance between steering response and traction characteristics on Tarmac, Gravel, or Snow surfaces.
Lancer Ralliart is also equipped with front helical limited slip differential and a rear differential mechanical limited slip differential.

Any rumors on MSRP? . . . Subaru WRX 4-dr $24,350.

SST makes perfect sense on a lower horsepower car. It kind of scares me that SST is also being used on the premium Evo X here in the states, but at this point I am only guessing.

the one thing we are all waiting on is the price tag.... I dont think that ralliart lancer will be cheap...

If the pricing is close to a standard WRX it's a STEAL.

How about differences between the RalliArt and the Evo? Have they said anything about brakes, suspension components, chassis stiffness, engine differences, etc? Enough similarities and I'm sold.

TQ figure since the HP fig is already out of the bag?

will it have the launch control feature like the MR?

can you toggle the settings like the MR on how the SST shifts gears?

Ive heard smaller cams and turbo dont know about everything else, I think the ralliart will end up weighting a little less than the X and that will fuck it up.

this shouldnt be inside info:Â* but suspen will not be on the same level as the evo.. nor will the tranny be on the same level as the mr.... its meant to be like a small tease as to what the evo little brother will be like... breaks as far as i know will not be brembo... (it could be but they will not be a big brake kit like evo....) the turbo will be smaller than the X.. but who is to say u cant slap a X turbo on it later....Â* as coolguy said before..

its going to be the WRX level car... STI is not like a WRX.. but a WRX can be like a STI with a lot of work.....

Oh and if I'm all wrong about the above ... then please take note.. that the new ralliart lancer will be one pricey miniture evo.... and most wont keep it up to the new clutch replacement..... :coolsmiley:

Amazing news.

Does anyone think this will make the Evo X like the Integra where people steal and swap parts?

Well last I read, the Evo IX was the second most broken into car in the country. Stolen on the other hand is another story. I'd assume the same about the X.

they have a small article on this car in this months super street. The one with the endless S15 time attack car on it. A brief Explanation of it would be its like a better version of a lancer GTS rather than a de-tuned version of a GSR. They said it would be costly to even think about making it similar to the GSR and if you wanted a EVO just get one lol... thats what i got from it.

They are completely different cars for completely different buyers. Evo buyers are Evo buyers and will likely not give up the many features the Evo has over Ralliart. That doesn't make it a bad car, just different.

It does has the SST trans, but without Super Sport mode and different gearing for 5th and 6th gears. Same exact engine as the Evo but with a different turbo, intercooler and intake. The battery is mounted under the hood, so some of the Evo components may not just swap over due to packaging constraints. It does not have Brembos nor are they available as an option. It also has the Evo IX drvetrain and hence no S-AWC with its AYC. The same wheels as the GTS with summer performance tires. I've driven it and it's very good, just not an Evo nor is it meant to be one.
