i dont get it still... mine is sitting on my table still... what do i do with it? and i would also like to know if im going to get taxed on this rebate at the end of the year?

The idea is the economy is lousy, and people aren't spending $$.
So the gov. gives these checks to people with the idea that they are going to put that money back into the economy (gas, super market, whatever)

All I know is, I want one!! Free gov. mod money!! haha

Yes... i got a little form... Something about Economic Stimulus Rebate... I got everything figured out though. I get my Rebate back May 9th ^^ I had Electronic Deposit on my tax return.

Bware, the rebate is automatic so you shouldn't have to fill out any kinds of forms at all. Yahoo has a story about scammers trying to get information from people telling them that they have to fill out a form with all their bank information in order to get their rebate. IRS isn't going to contact anyone about the rebate, they are just going to send out the checks and base it on the tax filing status and dependents that you claimed on your 2007 tax return. In general, it will be $600 per adult and $300 per dependent. Direct depositors will get their checks before the people who filed their taxes by snail mail.

Mine was deposited on the exact day that they said it would be deposited by.Â* It's only a day away right?Â* According to the link above:


A small percentage of tax returns will require additional time to process and to compute a stimulus payment amount. For these returns, stimulus payments may not be issued in accordance with the schedule above, even if the tax return was processed by April 15.


Hopefully you didn't claim the evo as a dependent on your tax returnÂ* :grin:
