I am picking up my car from South Coast on July 20th and driving it back cross country and need to buy and install a V1. Looking for a shop recommendation!

If you want to hardwire the V1, its a very simple installation. There are really only two wires you need to tap into the car.

Are you talking about a power hardwire installation?

Just plug it into the cigarette lighter :coolsmiley:

Can't you somehow install it so it is not high up in the windshield so that the cop won't notice it so easily?

I installed my V1 unit high on the passenger side windshield. Then i ran the telephone wires inside the headliner down the drivers side pillar (you need to remove pillar). Then run the wires underneath the cubby hole and eventually plugs into ciggy lighter.Â* I also got the concealed display velcro'd near my spedometer like this

You will need to buy at least 2 sets of 15 foot long telephone cord to run all the wiring

^ you can get tricky with it and put the display behind the plastic on the cluster.
