Well there is nothing about that Mitsu tune that is any good. I still had issues with mine.. Here is the surefire fix for it...

Get it retuned with mike at roadrace and earn yourself 50hp in the process... too easy...

Do you have an aftermarket intake? Just wondering, because I know some people were having idle issues with aftermarket intakes, separate from the idle issue from the factory.

there is an idle relearn, and tcv (throttle control valve) relearn procedure that should be done after the factory reflashes.

1. disconnect neg battery terminal for a few minutes
2. reconnect terminal
3. turn key to on position so all lights illuminate in cluster, but dont start car.
4. after key in on position for 10 seconds or more, turn key to off position for 15 seconds or more.
5. let car reach normal operating temp, then shut vehicle down for 15 seconds or more.
6. final step, let car idle with no loads(a/c, headlights) for at least 10 minutes...

i have worked with a few x's with some irratic idle problems, and this has cured them so far...
please let me know if this helps..

ok this is what Randy sent me. i've done it and it works. its weird but it did. you guys should try it. O0

maybe the maf sensor. I had a bad one in my x and threw a new one in and problem solved. I had the same idling problems after a tune.

Im still having the same issue, before and after the CAI installed bt RRE. It really doesnt happen very often, but when it does it varies by like 500 RPM. Now the GF thinks my car is posessed.

Don't know if you guys found any solutions to this yet but my car is having idle issues.Â* Before I put on my intake the idle ran fine, so I know it's not the MAF.Â* Then I got a tune thinking this would fix the idle problem.Â* But it didn't help at all.Â*

I'm gonna try this idle relearn, I'll let you guys know if it works. But any help you can provide will be appreciated. Thanks

Do you think it's because of the cold weather or did you do something to fix it?

Just wanted to let you guys know I was in Big Bear this weekend and my idle was stable. The elevation was at about 6000 ft and the temp was 18 deg F. The thing was the car started to idle at 900 rpm and stayed there. But I don't know if it was stable because of the temperature. Anyway I come back down to the OC and the idle goes crazy again. Booo
