Does the 2008 Evo X need a turbo timer ?

the dealer said it doesn't need it. When I read the manual. It said "after a high speed drive, be sure to idle for cooling down the turbocharger before turn off the engine", which means it needs a turbo timer, right ?

hahaha. Well.... for turboed cars after you run them hard.... most likely most of us do, your suppose to let the car idle and cool down for about a minute or two depending on your driving...

what most people do is, take it easy the last mile or two home and the car should be good!

But it only takes me 4 miles to go to work, which means I can only enjoy 2 miles of fun ?

I used to have a 99 GSX with T-timer, I think I just install one asap. It was a very easy installation.

Id get one cuz when it comes to showing up to work late I wouldn't wanna wait to idle the car. Id let the turbo timer handle it. Id recommend the HKS one. It has an automatic setting so based the the RPMs you use, it determines a set amount of time.

The night is still young !
Anyway, I like the Blitz T-timer, it is smallest that I could find.

I installed my blitz turbo timer. I still miss to hook the vacuum tube to the boost valve. I can't find the hole through the fire wall on the Evo X. Can someone help ?

They're not really necessary at all unless you go from flogging the piss outta your car, to shutting it down and parking it within 30 seconds~ track driving. I had one on my track car, and still found it kinda PITA, trying to remember whether or not I was supposed to pull the e-brake to enable it.
To each his own...
