What up guys, I read through the other iphone threads but found nothing on the 3g.

I happened to find one here at work and was wondering if anyone knew how to unlock these bad boys. I have T-Mobile and would to use it but Im a total n00b when it comes to this. Any tips/suggestions? ThanksÂ* O0

you need a program to unlock it. If your Tmobile guys are cool with you, then they can unlock it. If not, go to craigslist and there are tons of people on there that do it for 20-30 dollars.

^^Because I dont want to pay $100+ for two carriers when I use less than 300-400 mins a month. Anyways I had the phone unlocked with a turbo sim for $35 and i jailbroke it w/ help from youtube tutorials. Neat-O.

I tried ziphone... The program just froze and did nothing... I tried it a few times.. :-( Are there any other programs that will unlock the iphone 3g so I can use it for another network?

I believe quickpwn but if you already updated the firmware to 2.2 then it wont be unlockable anymore.

yeah but only if you have 2.2. do not get 2.2.1 on it cause it updates the carrier part of the phone making yellow snow not work. so i hear anyway.

for some reason most of my apps arent working. they will try to load and then it just jumps out into the main screen again. anyone ever experience this? i restarted the phone, still not working..

most of the time you need to go to the app store and re enter your itunes PW...then turn the phone off....sometimes they will work again in a day or two....also go to cyndia and installer and check for updates....

after i got my 3g, this rarely happens....

mine is UBER unlocked and mainframe hacked.....all my sliders are my evo + other cool shit....you need openSSH and openSSL on the iPhone and a mac with cyberduck to get into the OS and change little things around....

this could damage the OS if you do the wrong things....but you can do sooooo much cool shit.....

if anyone needs help REALLY customizing the iPhone....let me know...
