YES!!! woke up this morning to a broken passenger window!!!

i have the best luck!! i woke up this morning to find my rear passenger window on the ground broken,and my radio ripped off and my center console ripped out.They used the old ceramic spark plug technique, i can see the mark and found the ceramic.I have an aftermarket pager alarm but the pager didnt wake me up nor the actuall alarm.Also none of my neighbors heard anything.I put my hvac controlls back on and i cant turn the temperature knob all the way. I hope it isnt anything expensive.My insurance deductible is also $500!!! the worst shit ever!!! this will be the third time one of my cars has gotten ripped off!!!!heres to my prayers of finding ANYONE ripping off ANYTHING so i can TAKE OUT SOME AGGRESION. :knuppel2:

someone said before the windsheild on the Evo is thinner glass or some shit.... they basically were stating it was lighter than regular lancer glass. dunno if it was true or not.... dont think its the same case for the door glass tho.

they actually used a screwdriver for the screws and took it out normal, theres is pry marks on the dash and they pulled the bottom cubby out and pulled the hvac knobs off but now i cant turn the temp knob barely at all.

thats true, but i did have a boost gauge and a greddy turbo timer that was untouched as well as a video ipod and a ipod nano in the glove box they left alone also they didnt pop the hood and check for any mods

Damn dude, that sucks. When my friend's evo was broken into at my house (he's on deployment and I'm watching it for him) I got the window replaced by auto glass of san diego. They came to my house, cleaned out the car of all loose glass, and put in a brand new window. Its the same glass used in european cars. Good price too, $150 for everything.

sux cause I have had blood and fingerprints on my cars a couple of times, and if they're not already in the system, its pointless!

I remember reading a while back on the safest cities in the country. Is San Diego still in the top 100? Well regardless of what city you reside in, it does not justify it. Just because your place in town might be viewed as a hunting ground for thieves doesn't make it right. Have you considered maybe jealousy or you might have infuriated someone on your commute home? I wish you the best with your repairs. It is very sad that replacement parts for the Lancer Evolution are not always within our budget.

Same thing happened to me.

Popped my driver window while I was at a friends house.

Took my V1 Radar, Bag of tools, and thats about it. Left an iPod brand new in the box sitting on the passenger seat.
