Swifts, Tanabe's, Espelir all make good springs for the MR Bilstein shock.

Search this forum for reviews on different combinations of shocks and springs. Â*www.evolutionm.net has a great search engine that will give you more than enough reviews.

Good luck.

go with coilovers, sucks having to redo things over and over as your decisions change... do it right the first time and forget it :) coilovers are fine for the street and can be adjusted for the track if you get that urge to go to a track event

okay lets say if i go for coilover what brand would be good for street and track.. there is tein basic damper, megan, hks and many more what would you guys go for.. affordable and good. dont wanna spend too much cause i do wanna put in my MBC Exhaust and next to buy cam and cam gears fuel pump injector and act clutch. ^-^

i always say you get what you pay for with coilovers..... but dont spend your money on junk coilovers. that ride like crap and are slow on the track.

+1 for Magen Track Coilovers.. Excellent coilovers for only being $850 Theres quite a few people who have good reviews all over the Net on them..

I too was at this fork in the road!Do the math and logic
MR SHOCKS $500 TO 400
SWIFT SPRINGS 280.00
TOTAL $700 ISH
MEGAN COILOVERS $850.. plus you can adjust the height and stiffness.Springs on MRstruts .You are stuck with it!!!!
JUST MY .02 CENTS

Yes they do!!!Shit we dont live on the track.Face it most of socal evo members use the evo as a dd.
If we had the mentality of we get what we paid for.why did we buy evo's and not lambo's .Becuase we get what we can afford and what is decent for our budget!!

I have JIC's for sale if you're interested, less than a year old. 15k miles. I'll make you a killer deal too, selling my IX at the end of this month...

Since it sounds like you're not going to do any serious tracking and your car is a DD, I'd recommend springs (either Swift or GTWorx) and Bilsteins (whether MRs or HDs). Yes, coil-overs are probably more performance-oriented while being adjustable, but there is a slight price premium (and that's for the cheapest ones), plus I always felt it was a headache to always adjust them... plus I wasn't a fan of having to adjust it to that exact height that I wanted. Obviously I didn't track enough when I had coil-overs on my old car to warrant all the effort that had to be put into it. Just throw on decent springs and call it a day. No more hassles.
