How Do You Remove The Bolts That Are In The Stock Airbox Connected To The MAF :(... This Shit Is So Frustrating A Lil Help Please :mitsu:

if they dont come out try using a vice grip/clamp (whatever) on the inside of the airbox then using the socket or crescent wrench. that should help

theres no nuts on the outside? it looks like the bolts are put in place so you can turn the nuts on the outside...

imma have to remove the IC Pipe but i only have a lil space to remove the bottom clamp

dood the nuts are on the other side...

you have to take off the entire airbox to get to them

loosen the intake clamp to get it off. NOT THAT HARD

^^^ i would too, just take it easy removing the box from the MAS, hoping the bolt just got stuck between the mas wires

werd,,, now you can put in the new intake, that seemed like a ton of work huh/LOL, i experienced the same shit (not the bolt in the tube though) when i replaced my intake.

for reals.. its that damn screws on the box ! if not id be done by now but i decided to start work @ hours b4 night came i wasnt gonna work on that shit with the engine hot as fuck ! :tickedoff:

Take your box out and take out the 10s on the inside that hold those bolts in place.

just undo the hose clamp for the maf and the 2 10s that hold the box in place and then take out the filter and you can see the bolts.

just undo the hose clamp for the maf and the 2 10s that hold the box in place and then take out the filter and you can see the bolts.




^^^ thats how you do it bro, take out the bolts that hold the box in, loosen the clamps to the maf then pull out slowly. you just have to reach back there to loosen then take out those maf bolts

i just finished up a clutch job on my car so i know all about that air box, had to put everything back to stock for trade in.. oh and i wont do it without a lift again. but worth the knowledge (clutch install).
