I've got a sub that I"ve been meaning to install. My car has the ssl package. Has anyone spliced into the wires for the stock sub and hooked up a aftermarket one with the stock amp? My aftermarket sub is a 12.

If I can get away with not buying another amp then cool if not then its alright too.

If you take some pictures of the SSl subwoofer (mainly the terminals) i can help you out. Cant really eyeball it as I have never seen the SSL amp etc.

^^ Think he means he wants to replace the existing subwoofer with the new one.

Only question is will the stock amp be able to power an aftermarket subwoofer to make it sound good :P which is what I doubt heh :P

^^ it mite like a JL w0 or w1 they have low rms watts so he could try that or stop being cheap and buy an aftermarket amp LOL
