buyer rating?

Ok I read the rules and It didnt say anything about suggestions for the site so I posted here!I have recently bought a few things from people here and thought that maybe it would be a good idea for people to have like a trading rate or something like that.The people I have done business with have all been realy good!(1wkdevo,gilbert flores,and a few others)I just wanted to give them credit for being a seller with good stuff and easy to deal with.So thats my idea.....

i used to have an IS300 and we had an itrader rating on MY.IS which was good because there is always going to be a crooked seller out there...

yeah, i like the itrader system... when i had my z they had it on my350z.com

but i think this system is used more for buying parts out of state...our site is mainly people from socal so we usually drive out to get the part, less scams involved

We went through this a while back and one of the Admins said it involved a whole new design/layout/process for the site and would be a PIA.

I agree that it is a good idea to weed out the flakers on bad sellers on this site

Really, are you sure? And what difference does that make really? If I am buying something from someone in Burbank and they never show up at the meeting place which is two hours from my house, I kind of want to let everyone know with some good ole fashion feedback

i would say if its that important just throw the vouches in your sig, thats what i did on honda tech anyone i sold something too and they were happy with it i would just put vouches: and then there username, but yea for socal evo i don't think its too neccesary

Ok so lets assume it is unncessary, what exactly is the negative aspect of adding it? I always wonder why people are so advsere to change because I used to see it in my staff when I first took over my office

All true, but again I see no reason why not to have ratings other than the Admins indicating that it can't be done in our current format

Until there is a mod for our forums to allow this then it won't be possible, the other issue is, how do you control who rates who since you're not actually buying from the site?

Very true and an issue with Evom since you can give anyone feedback whether you actually purchased from them or not.Â* You could require a link and have a rebuttal process handled by a Moderator.Â*

I'm sure you could find someone to handle only this task.Â* I know I would volunteer

not a bad idea overall. we all are good at word of mouth but i recall a time where i thought about purchasing those seats from d7 a few months back. imagine the mess i would have gotten myself into. word of mouth only works so well

This is a great idea. I have had a trader/seller rating in the other sites that i joined in the past. It helps and or warns us the buyer from shady sellers, members and shops alike.

If you can't do the deal in person then don't do it. That's the main benefit to buying and trading only in So Cal. No shipping and face to face transactions.

Very true and why I stopped buying off Evom unless the person has 30+ positive feedback...still, it would be nice to see feedback of those flakes who don't show up, lie about item condition, etc.

I would absolutely be down for this. Too many of these dudes are inconsiderate pricks when it comes to buying shit. It's pretty simple, don't say you are ABSOLUTELY going to pick something up when you are clearly still thinking things over. Idiots.
