Well, more beta testing today with EcuFlash. At this point I feel comfortable that it has 95% of the tables needed for a solid tune using factory boost control. More will come of course, should be very solid very soon.

This is a 100% bone stock Evo 10. Factory boost control and hardware. Factory air filter, etc

+62whp / +31wtq peak

This tune is far from aggressive. AFR is still rich (under 11 AFR) but of course not pig rich like stock (In the 9's). Peak boost is only 23psi and I have it tapering to around 17psi at 7200rpm

http://norcalmotorsports.org/users/bryan/mods/EVO/evo_tunes/devX_110108/evoX_stockTune_power.jpg

There is more room to tune the spool area. Already 600+rpm quicker and huge gains under the spool curve area. I am going to be working on this area more, I think there is more potential.

20 psi by 3100 rpm in 3rd so far.

I'm warming up to the 10's. ;)

I know alot of Evo X owners are wondering this and I haven't seen this anywhere else. What are the main diffrences between ecuflash and ecutek.? It seems like you are capable of doing everything the ecutek tuners can.

Currently using EcuTek we can log knock and also the value that shows how much if any the ECU is leaning on the Low Octane ignition map. We can also log the exact load cell the ECU is using. It also displays live what ever cell you are on in what ever map is open. EcuTek also displays a cute 3D map representation that helps you visualise cell values that are not as smooth as they could be.

Currently EcuTek gives more accuracy over ECUFlash. This will change with time depending on how much EcuTek continues devolopment. Like Bryan has said, an experienced tuner with even the current ECUFlash can use their experience and intuition to git-r-done with decent results. Let the pros play with it for several months before you try it at home kiddies. There is so much more to this ECU than the older cars.

All I care about is the cable so I can log and clear my own codes should they arise from the shitty gas all over elsinore... Any news on the cable????????

Its amazing how much quicker it spools. The tq difference at 3700rpm is absurd

So whats the status on this thing? Is it safe? Is it putting out more power than the ECUTek? Is it able to revert back to stock and fool dealerships about reflashing the ECU?

Yes its safe
About the same if you check all the tune posts
Easy to put back to stock flash

Hey mike are you currently using ecuflash? or just ecutek?

Either one. I can do a better job and see more what all is going on with ECUTek. Costs another $250 for that basically for now.
