Just seeing if anyone else has this problem. When I rev sometimes over about 5K my rpms will hang ten and then drop slowly.

Thats normal on an untuned X and also when it is cold. I can point you in the right direction if you have any other specific questions.

It happened to me before and after my tunes. So it is pretty common, thanks for your replies.

Same here.. My idle will also occaisonally drop to 5 or 600 rpm for a little while, then climb back up. Nothing else happens, and it's not very frequent, but it'll happen every once in a while.

I don't think OP is talking about the same issue you are...You are talking about idle issues, OP is talking about REVing issues...

It does happen to me. I notice it more when the engine is cold. It seems to hang at a high RMP for a bit.

Thanx, but English being my primary language, I fully understood that little fact, which is why I wrote "Same Here". See, those two words explain to the OP that I too experience the same thing. After I made that point, I then wrote that my motor also does something else a little odd while the accelerator is at 0%. See, when a motor is "reving down" the accelerator is at 0%. When the motor is idling, the accelerator is also set at 0%. Does it matter? No, it doesn't. I mentioned it because I thought of it while reading the post.

^^the second issue you are having "happens" to be a known discussed issue on several other threads which some say it is fixed with a flash but through my experience it doesn't fully fix it....

I have had the same issue when I down shift, it will hold the RPM's and then slowly come down. Maybe a some kind of built in safety feature from mitsu??

My RPM's sorta hang when going reverse, and going from 4th to 5th.

I had my ecu flashed twice now and neither addressed the idling issue. As well as it doesn't die while dropping then it's fine with me lol
