It takes 2 people to do this. One will sit in the driver seat and the other will be under the car opening and closing the bleeder. Turn the key to the on position. Step on the gas peddle and hold it to the floor then the person under will crack the bleeder as soon as the peddle is pressed to the floor. Repeat the step about 5 times or till it stops pumping air out. Make sure you keep an eye on the level of the ACD

Heres a pic of what the bleeder looks like under the car

it's sad that i'm here helping another shop customers.Â* Â* :buck2:

1.turn the key to all the way on but don't turn the car over.Â*
2. open the ACD valve and step on the gas pedal. hold it there, after couple seconds close the valve.

repeat those steps for about 5 times. your acd should be well bleed.

Make sure you check the ACD fluid reservoir constantly and make sure it doesn't run out.

the tool people are talking about just turns the acd pump on so you don't have to keep stepping on the pedal.

pedal works fine.

what's the reason for doing this?

Evokid

So you don't ruin the ACD pump

how often should this be done?

Ive never heard of anyone doing this as a routine maintenance. Only when let's say you get your clutch exchanged. The ACD oil line has to be removed when separating the transfer case from the transmission because there's a bolt next to it that has to be removed. After everything is reassembled, you should bleed the ACD bump just to make sure there's no air bubble's in the oil line

if you have evoscan you don't need two people. You can activate the ACD actuator through evoscan.

This is a pretty nifty bit of information... It should be stickyed in the how to section if you ask me.

I was not able to find how to activate the ACD with EvoScan. Please let us know which version and how. Thanks.
