I wanted to see if you guys have worked with the Toyota 1.5L engines?
I know you guys tune all top of the line vehicles. Ranging from Evo's to I believe Porshe's. But have you guys really dealt with the Toyota 1.5L engine??
The reason I ask is because I drove my friends Yaris and it's incredibly slow. Would you guys be able to so something about it? Would you guys be willing to use her Yaris as a Ginnea pig to test it out? I'm sure other members would like to see the results.

I HAD A YARIS HATCH..................GOOD FOR DAILY AND WHAT BUT FAR AS GETTING SUPER HORSEPOWER YOU'LL NEED TO SPEND SOME MONEY WHICH IS NOT WORTH IT FOR THE YARIS.........YOU CAN PUT ON A EXHAUST ,WHEELS AND DROP IT BE COOL WITH IT BESIDES THAT EVERYTHING ELSE IS KIND OF REALLY BLOWING YOUR MONEY AWAY.......IF SHE WANTS MORE INFO TELL HER TO CHECK OUT WWW.YARISWORLD.COM

this girl near my house has white one with gold wheels. That thing looks super sick! i pulled up next to her at a light and was trying to tell her i liked her car.she thought i wanted to race or something and wouldnt even glance over. That would be an awesome car if it had some ponies. It wouldnt need many seeing how light it must be.

I'm talking her into getting a nice exhaust and rims.
I would love to see if we can a bit of balls to it. Maybe a drop on filter and a test pipe?

For crying out loud, it's an economy car. Â*You aren't going to get ANYTHING exciting out of it. Â*It's a mileage getter and not anything more deal with it.

We actually did do some R&D with K&N Engineering on the Yaris. We used a type of cam controller and were able to pick up a little HP......and when I say little I mean like 8 to 10whp. Not much to be had on this one boys. I will go back and see what we used as this was sometime ago.

Freddy, This is probably one of those things that are good to "THINK" about, but not really to throw out there.

I would leave it alone. I used to go to a old Toyota only shop before I bought the Evo. This shop put a turbo on a Scion xA (same motor) and the dam thing would just grenade itself after a few months. (we called it the orange bang.Car was orange and it would go bang!) It made decent power but the 1NZ motor is not built for boost. The rods are paper thin. My friend had a black Echo with mods. We called it the coca roach because it look like one. It was N/A. Fast at streets of willow for what it was. Car with the mods he put on it was fun to drive. I drove it a few times and it pulled good over 3000 RPM. Not Evo fast but fast enough. I know Toyota will not release the computer on their cars. That is why they can not be flashed like the evos and other cars. You have to put in a circuit board in the computer. I think the last year that they can chip was 1997 (do not quote me on that) but I am pretty sure of that. You have to use some kind of piggy back. Power enterprise made a cam con controller for vvti a few years back. Because it advances the timing with the cams you HAVE to use 91 octane or BOOM! I was going to put one in my MR-S but since my wife daily drives it, their is no point in wasting money for 5-10HP (87octane FTW!). I would just leave it alone. Besides She probably does not know the difference from a slow car from a fast car. As long as she does not drive a fast car .She will be ok. What ever you decide good luck.
