It's going real good Fred. It's a big change going from private industry to a state school, especially one as big as UCLA or the UC system itself. But, it's good. I can't complain.

I just work here, I don't go to school here. I'll be at SMC in the fall most likely and hopefully transfer over here after that. UCLA gives employees a 2/3 rate reduction if they get accepted. Only paying 33% for a top notched education isn't bad.

I work in the Academic Senate as an Admin Asst. I hold no swing in anything. Basically UCLA runs itself as it's own governing body. The Faculty make up this governing body. We, the Academic Senate, facilitate the committees that advise on rules, regulations, policy and jurisdiction and place volunteering faculty on them. We have nothing to do with the CS department and how they run. We're strictly the Administrative Government Staff.

UCLA is where i want to go next fall, but i have heard from a couple of students that went to SMC that they have a higher acceptance rate for some reason.. hmm

there is this unwritten agreement to take in more students from SMC than any other JC. It's not that big of a difference but with two equal students from SMC and LBCC. SMC probably gets it.

UCLA didn't pay me to go to grad school there .... They definitely paid me very little when I worked there during 2005 at Student Affairs Office

They've always had an EMBA. They also have an EMBA partnered with singapore. The latin america EMBA that I mentioned is just a new venture. I was just blown away by the 100k price tag.

Why? The USC EMBA is $110k. EMBA are for people who are already senior managers and above so they are expected to be able to pay more. Seems kind of odd because it's the same price as my 3 year MBA but you do get to network with much more influential people plus you pay for speed I guess.

ucla is top tier. i think their femba is ranked number 1 too right? but then usc you get a lot of networking done. only thing that sucks that i dont like about usc mba is that you are required to participate overseas for 10 days or so. i cannot do that. i think for ucla its optional.

Hey Guys, don't go to UCLA, but I live in the area.Â* I work in the South Bay so I go to Elco because it's close to work.Â* I want to transfer to UCLA for Econ or Mechanical Engineering, so I think I might transfer to SMC since I live only a couple of miles away, plus it's got a higher acceptance rate to that school. :)

I got an Apex Silver IX GSR SE.Â* Just installed a 3 port boost controller, JR racing drop-in filter, Megan 02 housing, Megan down pipe, Megan resonated test pipe, andÂ* custom exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler that I painted black to keep things stealthy.Â* Â*

Getting a fuel pump put in because I ran out of fuel and was at 100% duty cycle last Thursday when they tried to tune it. They were only able to tune boost and afr's. I picked up 26whp just doing that! They tried to adjust timing but it would knock! The fuel pump should rectify the issue tommorow.

I also put new spark plugs and changed the oil tonight. Khiem will put the fuel pump in tomorow at the meet, so hopefully everything will go smooth tomorrow night on Tha Shop's dyno...so hopefully I put down some good reliable POWA!Â*

If any of you guys aren't busy, you should come out!

We should do a Thursday night meet at the In and Out / Costco parking lot on Washington and Lincoln in Venice. The parking lot is huge with plenty of parking after 8 o'clock. There used to be meets here a while back, but it died down quite a bit after the economy tanked, and people started drifting in the parking lot every week.
