My '05 Evo was dyno'd at 295/295 last year with TBE, MBC on 91 pump

Added:
Gruppe-S 3-port BCS
RC1000cc inj
Nisei 3" FMIC
HKS 272s (BC cam gears at +2,+2)
ARP Headstuds
Self-tuned for E85 at 28 psi tapering to 23

2/4/09:Â* Â*383 ft-lbs/351 hp on RREs Dynapak today on stock Evo VIII turbo. Max Torque at 3332 rpm and Hp at 5900.

Added IX turbo and changed cam gear settings.

10/23/09: 412 ft-lbs/ 404 hp on Church's Dynapak. Wide torque band, nearly 400 tq from 3500 to 5000. Max hp at 6100.

cause im gettin this new boost solenoid its supposed to be way better then the gm ill let you know when i get tuned

This BCS held great consistant boost. I was running only with the MaxWGDC tuned without Boost error correction, as I have not decided on full or partial implementation. I was able to dial in whatever boost profile I wanted (i.e. could hold 26 psi from spool to redline) with +/- .25 accuracy throughout.

Sxe_Dave- nice meeting you too. The DP was on and contributed to the #'s by sealing that exhaust leak. Thanks.

if you are able to dial in the boost, how come you had that much taper?

By looking at my evoscan logs, I was airflow limited at about 1700. The way my car is setup, it maxes out very quickly in the rpm band. With direct boost I could have tapered at any rate. I choose to mimic a MBC taper because at 7000 rpm, it didn't matter much if it was at 22 psi or 26 psi. Only way to make more hp was to throw timing in. E85 doesn't provide knock feedback like pump gas, so I was hesitant to push the envelope.

Performed my upgrade to a ported/coated hotside IX turbo, changed cam gear settings and retuned.
412 Tq/ 404 whp on Church Automotive Dynapak. Graphs to follow.


Mods: AEM Intake, IX turbo hotside hand ported and coated, 2.75 DP, RRE HFC, RRE Stealth exhaust, HKS 272s, BC cam gears +1/-1, 3-port BCS, Nisei 3" FMIC, Nisei LICP, direct boost control, E-85, boost peak to 29.7 and taper to 24 at redline.

Don't store them outside and don't store them for long. Alcohol and water like to do the nasty and too much water isn't a good thing in your fuel.

didnt know Nisei made a 3" core.. that's news to me..
To my understanding they made 2 different FMIC a 3.75" and a 3.5" (street and competition core)

Very nice. Good to see your numbers....I've got almost the same setup (minus the cams) and was curious. I'm only boosting 20psi though cuz the car has 100k+ miles on it.
