First please understand that I have NO HIRING AUTHORITY and that I'm justÂ*passing on good scoop.Â* I do know that the base I work on (Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, CA) is looking to fill many positions.Â* I am a supervisor in a calibrations facility aboard base so I'm not in the main industrial building but I can tell you about most everything they do over there.Â* They basically completely tear down and rebuild military vehicles:Â* LAV (Land Assault Vehicles), AAV (Amphibious Assault Vehicles), Hummers, M1 Tanks, and some other stuff.Â*
They are in real need of experienced people with skills in: turbo diesel engines, transmissions, mechanics, welding, machining, and other related skills.Â* The base is also looking to hire administrative positions.Â* So if you're looking for a job or a career in the federal government let me know.Â* The pay is really good and so are the bennies.Â* Prior service really helps you get your foot in the door as well with Veteran's preference.Â* Â*
You can also use this site to look at career opportunities aboard Marine Corps and Navy bases all over the world.Â*
