I thought it was similar to the EVO 8 and 9 where there are two pull rings to unlatch the seats but I did not find such pull rings. Can anyone direct me??

Roy, feel for the area where the hook is and using both hands, lift hard and the hook will pop out. Unlike the 8/9's the seats on the X use friction clips to hold down the hooks... one on each side. Seriously, just yank that biatch and it will pop out.

Good luck.

Once you find the front push-hook on the lowers, use a long plastic upholstery tool to lever it straight up next to the pin. Kinda like using a plastic screwdriver as a lever. The push-ins in the seat will pop right out. About eight inches from the side rail towards center.

There's a low detail pic in the PDF manual.

The rear upper has three U-hooks on the chassis that align with padded rings on the back of the seat. Easy enough to get off a royal PITA to get back on for one person.

OP: If you ended up doing it or still plan to, please take a couple of pics and post for the rest of us.

For the bottom section of the seat just pull up hard and they will pop out of the clips. For the backrest there are three 14mm bolts holding the U looking brackets down. Unbolt those and then push up and pull out to release the seat off the hangers. Do one side at a time. Left, right, middle, etc.
