Finally got around to installing the Blitz SBC Spec-R Boost Controller in our MR.
Boost is held so much better now and comes on a tad quicker too.

It provides four separate settings (channels) along with it's own boost gauge with peak\hold & record features. So you can change boost for different fuels and/or ECU map settings. Having tested many other EBCs over the years the Blitz unit is by far one of the better controllers in the market.

Why chose an EBC over a MBC?
Well for starters an EBC is much better at holding the wastegate shut longer (tighter) until peak boost is realized. What this does is prevent the wastegate flapper door from cracking open slightly under positive boost pressures. One thing to remember is that you have exhaust pressure up against the flapper door making it want to open along with any positive boost signal up against the wastegate (diaphragm) as well.

The MBC cannot keep positive boost signal away from the wastegate diaphragm so it's easier for the flapper door to open up under boost. Whereas an EBC can do this efficiently.

Anyways, boost is now set to peak at about 24 psi and drops off only to about 21-22 psi to redline.
If anyone has any questions about the install you can PM me.
