If someone who has experience in removing the clutch on an '03 could pm me, I need some help on the process. I have a write-up for it but I'm getting conflicting views on it and I need some clarification. Need some help!

Right now I can't because I'm at the auto hobby shop on Camp pendleton and I'm posting from my blackberry.Â* I need some help regarding the output drive shaft.

If someone could pm me I really need this help.

You will only have to remove the front part of the driveshaft. This is done by removing the four bolts from the center of the driveshaft. The front half should now drop down and you can pull the driveshaft out of the transfer case.

i dropped the slide hammer on my foot on friday.....OUCH....lol

i think he means the shaft to the rear transfer case...

you dont need to removed the drive shaft for doing a clutch, you dont even need to remove the t-case. This will save you a lot of time.

i have done just 3 clutches on evo X and like over 95 and counting on VIII and IX! LOL.
I have to say! no mater how many clutches i have done, its always a bitch.

thanks alot you guys, I got it figured out, however, the hobby shop doesn't have the right kind of slap hammer for me to use, so now I gotta go find one. I appreciate the help.

No problem. I just feel a little guilty abouy buying junk from China, but that slide hammer really hasn't seent the light of day since I did my clutch. Damn this economy.

cuz right now im doing a clutch job on mine and right now im in proses of taking the tranfer case off

i got the clutch out but now the thing is that i cant get the flywheel off :(.....its on pretty good im using the correct socket right????

ok ill stay away from that...ok sooo right now im having problems with the fly wheel i cant get them damn bolts off :(
is there a way 2 make these lil bad boys come out easier

ya get a big strong impact gun, and that should do it for ya. It worked for me.
